Nicholas Schorsch Boosts Stake in American Strategic Investment Co.
On January 30, Nicholas Schorsch made a move that added to his influence at American Strategic Investment Co. Through Bellevue Capital Partners—an entity he controls—Schorsch picked up 1,664 shares of Class A common stock, with a weighted average price of $11.58. The purchase was reported a few days later, on February 2.
This wasn’t a one-off. Bellevue’s total indirect holdings now exceed 1 million shares. The purchase price spanned a range between $11.15 and $11.73, reflecting standard open-market activity. At the same time, 26,559 shares previously held by Schorsch were sold—reducing his direct ownership, but leaving his overall exposure through affiliated entities largely intact.
The filing also named several other entities tied to Schorsch, including AR Global Investments, American Realty Capital III , and New York City Special Limited Partnership. Each is part of a layered ownership structure that gives Schorsch significant sway over the company’s equity. While these firms are considered part of a Section 13(d) group due to their combined stake, each one clarified it only claims beneficial ownership to the extent of its own financial interest.
Schorsch’s role as a director and major shareholder remains consistent. The structure behind these investments is complex, but the direction is clear: this was a net increase in exposure, not a retreat. With these additional shares, Schorsch and his affiliated entities maintain a meaningful presence at the table—one that continues to shape the company’s ownership dynamics.
