A Strategic Transformation in New Orleans

Ashford Hospitality Trust has announced a significant milestone with the conversion of the iconic Le Pavillon Hotel into a Tribute Portfolio property under Marriott International. The move represents a strategic effort to align with Marriott's portfolio of boutique hotels celebrated for their unique character and vibrant guest experiences.

Located on the historic Poydras Street in downtown New Orleans, Le Pavillon recently underwent a $19 million transformation. Renovations encompassed extensive updates to the property’s exterior, guestrooms, and public spaces. Highlights include an upgraded restaurant and a reimagined lobby featuring Bar 1803, a concept inspired by the Louisiana Purchase, evoking a rich sense of history and place.

A New Chapter for a Historic Icon

Built in 1907, the hotel is a member of Historic Hotels of America and remains a landmark in New Orleans. Its proximity to the French Quarter, Bourbon Street, and Royal Street adds to its appeal, placing it at the center of the city’s cultural and social scene.

This strategic rebranding is expected to attract a new wave of travelers seeking unique and immersive experiences, while reinforcing its legacy as a central figure in New Orleans' hospitality landscape.
