CNL Strategic Capital, LLC shared new updates this week, keeping investors in step with the latest shifts in its portfolio and operations. Following a review on April 24, 2025, the board confirmed that total net asset value climbed to approximately $1.26 billion, with total assets reaching around $1.29 billion. Ten out of sixteen portfolio companies saw valuation gains in March, driving an increase in per-share values across all share classes.
Public Offering Prices Adjusted
The board also locked in new public offering prices, effective April 30, 2025. These updates align public pricing with March-end valuations and reflect any applicable selling commissions and dealer manager fees. Investors participating through the distribution reinvestment plan will see their purchase prices match the March 31 NAV for their share class, giving them a more precise entry point based on current valuations.
May Distributions Declared
Alongside the price adjustments, the board announced May distributions for all classes of common shares. Distribution amounts range from about $0.08 to $0.10 per share, keeping in line with the company’s consistent monthly payout cycle. Investors can plan for distribution payments on May 28, based on a record date of May 27.
Performance Metrics Show Continued Strength
Performance across the board continues to show strength. Year-to-date returns as of March 31, 2025, held at around 1.5% for most classes. One-year trailing returns came in above 9% for shares purchased without upfront sales charges. Over five years, annualized returns ranged from approximately 9% to 12%, depending on the share class and sales load structure.
Distribution Sources Detailed
The company also laid out how distributions were funded. For the first quarter of 2025:
- Approximately 84% of distributions came from net investment income.
- Roughly 16% was sourced from distributions exceeding net investment income.
These figures reflect a strong foundation in income generation while managing supplemental distribution needs.
