DarioHealth Names Steven Nelson President and Chief Commercial Officer
DarioHealth is tightening its leadership focus by promoting Steven Nelson to President while retaining his responsibilities as Chief Commercial Officer. The move, effective July 10, 2025, signals a continued investment in strategic growth and commercial execution.
Nelson joined DarioHealth in June 2024 as Chief Commercial Officer. Now, in a dual role, he’ll be steering both commercial operations and broader company initiatives. His experience spans two decades in healthcare and marketing, with a track record of scaling services and managing complex business lines.
Before coming to DarioHealth, Nelson led Contigo Health, a subsidiary of Premier Inc., as President and CEO. At Anthem(now Elevance Health), he held senior leadership roles that covered operations, strategy, and finance. These included:
- COO of its diversified services segment, now known as Carelon
- Vice President of Strategy, Planning & Innovation
- Chief of Staff to the Chief Financial Officer
His earlier experience at Highmark Inc. included leadership in strategy, product, and marketing. He also held an executive oversight role at Allegheny Health Network, a Highmark subsidiary. In the consumer health and marketing sectors, Nelson held senior roles at companies like GNC, MET-Rx, and GMR Marketing, building expertise across brand development and international marketing.
This new appointment comes with no change in compensation. Terms remain consistent with Nelson’s offer letter signed in May 2024. DarioHealth also confirmed there are no related party arrangements or undisclosed agreements tied to the role change.
With Nelson stepping into this expanded position, DarioHealth is reinforcing its commitment to commercial growth and operational alignment. The company continues to build momentum in the digital health space, and this leadership update puts Nelson at the center of that push.
