Silver Star Properties Adjusts Legal Leadership in Cost-Cutting Move

Silver Star Properties REIT is preparing for a leadership shift. Adrienne Collins, who has served as the company’s Senior Vice President, Corporate Secretary, General Counsel, and Chief Compliance Officer, will leave her role on May 23, 2025. She’s returning to private legal practice after playing a key role in the company’s ongoing repositioning.

This transition wasn’t driven by conflict or internal friction. Collins remains aligned with the company’s strategic direction, including its pivot toward self-storage investments. Her departure comes as Silver Star looks to streamline its structure and reduce fixed legal costs.

The next step? Move from in-house counsel to outsourced legal support. With that in mind, Silver Star has appointed Chester W. Grudzinski, Jr. as Interim Deputy General Counsel and Compliance Officer. He’ll step in on a part-time basis. Grudzinski has already been serving as special counsel to the company and brings more than four decades of legal and tax experience across real estate, energy, and corporate structures.

A licensed CPA, Grudzinski also holds long-standing positions on key tax law committees at both the state and national levels. His background includes prior leadership roles at KPMG and Kelly, Hart & Hallman, and he continues to contribute to the legal field through writing and public speaking.

This move is part of a broader cost-efficiency push across the company. As Silver Star continues realigning its portfolio and scaling toward leaner operations, it’s turning to targeted resourcing for critical functions—legal included.
