Leadership Transition at Sinclair
Sinclair, Inc. is making a key leadership shift. On July 7, the company announced that Narinder Sahai will take over as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer. He replaces Lucy Rutishauser, who is stepping away from the CFO role but staying on as Executive Vice President to help with the transition.
Background and Experience
Sahai brings a clear track record of financial leadership across technology, media, and hospitality. Most recently, he served as CFO at Arcis Golf, where he oversaw financial planning, accounting, tax, and investor relations. Before that, he held senior finance roles at RumbleOn and Amazon Web Services. At RumbleOn, he built out core financial systems, led acquisition integration, and stood up audit and compliance programs. At AWS, he led finance strategy for global AI/ML and compute sales teams.
Earlier in his career, Sahai helped guide Target Hospitality through its public market debut, and held leadership roles at FMC Technologies, TechnipFMC, and Delphi Corporation. His background combines public market readiness, operational finance, and investor engagement. He holds an MBA from the University of Michigan and is a CFA charterholder.
Compensation and Incentives
The terms of Sahai’s agreement reflect a long-term investment in his role. He’ll start with a base salary of $700,000, which will increase to $800,000 in year three. He’s eligible for:
- Annual performance bonuses of up to 200% of base pay
- A one-time signing bonus of $105,000
- $1.75 million in restricted stock units, vesting fully in 2028
- Tiered performance bonuses tied to share price milestones beginning at $33 per share
He’ll also receive relocation reimbursement of up to $100,000. The agreement outlines severance terms that include salary and bonus continuation in specified scenarios, along with non-compete and confidentiality clauses.
Looking Ahead
With this appointment, Sinclair is reinforcing its financial leadership at a time when market dynamics demand experience and precision. Sahai’s background positions him to deliver both.
