Mountain V

A privately held exploration and production company formed in 1994 and located in Buckhannon West Virginia. Mountain V was co-founded by father-son team Steve and Mike Shaver (Mike Shaver – CEO since 2006). The company is focused on acquiring and developing oil and gas reserves in the Appalachian Basin. Mountain V operates in 3 states, acquired and divested over 2,000 wells, and drilled and operated approximately 600 wells in PA and WV for third parties. It is vertically integrated with its employees handling most of the engineering and operations in house. The company has 360+ miles of operated gathering and pipeline systems and has over 53 BCFE of Proved Reserves from 2000+ operating wells. Mountain V has built a reputation to be a reliable driller, operator and partner and always is willing to invest its own funds in each of its projects.
